Heavenly is one of the larger Tahoe resorts bringing 28 chairlifts and 97 ski and snowboarding runs to the table. The California side has amazing views of the lake, and the Nevada side features some of the gnarliest runs such as the Mott Canyon and the Milky Way bowl. Heavenly also boasts some of the best snow-making equipment in case the snow gets light. Later in the season, a couple of small terrain parks open up as well. With the gondola reaching all the way to downtown South Lake Tahoe, Heavenly has the most happening village and after-skiing scene in all of Tahoe, with tons of restaurants and bars in town, and its neighbor Stateline, NV across the border has 24/7 nightlife.
